The Utah PGA Section is one of 41 sections that make up the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) of America. The local section strives to be “a benchmark in promoting enjoyment and participation in the game of golf.”

According to the PGA of Utah website, “The PGA of Utah Section seeks to be a strong and prominent organization within the golf community by providing quality programs and services to both PGA members and others.”

The Utah PGA Golf Pass is one way the Utah Section is trying to get both seasoned PGA members and novice golfers alike to increase their love of the game. When you buy the golf pass, whether it’s a physical booklet or a digital version, you get access to courses throughout the state, thousands of dollars in savings and free rounds of golf. In addition, you support young golfers in your community.

Save money

When you purchase the Utah PGA Digital Golf Pass, you’ll receive six free rounds of golf and over $2,000 in savings at 77 of Utah’s best golf courses. Savings include deals on things like a bucket of balls, rounds of golf, and discounts on carts and green fees. Using the Utah PGA Digital version of the golf pass can also place you on the Utah PGA Digital Golf Pass leaderboard, where you can earn prizes just by playing golf.

The Utah PGA Digital Golf Pass Leaderboard is sponsored by KSL.com and Goldenwest Credit Union and is a way to add more fun and an element of friendly competition to the traditional Utah PGA Golf Pass. The leaderboard includes some exciting incentives for placing in the top eight and just for playing the qualifying courses. After October 31, the top eight participants on the leaderboard will receive the following prizes*:

1st Place – Gold Jacket, Trophy & Quartet at Promontory

2nd Place: Foursome at Hidden Valley

3rd Place: Quartet at Alpine CC

4th Place: Quartet at Valley View

5th Place: Quartet at Bountiful Ridge

6th Place: Quartet at Wasatch State Park

7th Place: Foursome at Soldier Hollow

8th place: quartet at Glenmoor.

The best part is participating in the leaderboard, you just need to play golf! When you play a round of golf and use your Utah PGA Digital Golf Pass, all qualifying redemptions (rounds of golf played) will automatically be recorded to improve your ranking on the leaderboard. You can even check your Leaderboard position at any time online by clicking the Leaderboard link (star icon) in the bottom navigation of your Golf Pass, or by clicking here if you are not a Golf Pass holder of a golf pass.

Even if you fail to place on the leaderboard, you are still eligible for gifts throughout the season and gifts will be sent to you just for playing more courses. In order for the golf pass to track courses played, you must ensure location services are turned on and your golf pass has permission to use them so we can verify your eligible redemptions.

Help young people in your community

All proceeds from the sale of the Utah PGA Golf Pass go to support the Utah PGA Junior Golf Foundation. The Utah PGA Junior Golf Foundation is committed to the promotion and education of junior golf in Utah. The PGA of Utah Youth Golf Foundation helps sponsor events such as the state high school golf championship, the state banquet, kids’ clubs, youth clinics, golf in schools, and many other programs.

The Utah PGA Junior Series was created as a program for junior golfers of any age. From kids as young as 4 who have never held a golf club, to high school players who are ready for competition and everyone in between. In the PGA Junior Series, youngsters are taught how to play the game, as well as course management, etiquette and rules. The PGA of Utah wants to make golf a fun and educational experience, not only by teaching golf lessons, but also by helping to develop valuable life skills.
