Tennis star Rafael Nadal’s wife, Mery Perelló, is reportedly pregnant with their first child, according to Spanish magazine Hello!

The 33-year-old sported what appeared to be a bulge under her swimsuit aboard the yacht where she and the 22-time Grand Slam winner are vacationing.

There has been intense speculation that Rafael’s childhood sweetheart was waiting after he started wearing baggier clothes and donned a face mask in the recent Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid.

There has yet to be any comment from the tennis star or his wife, who dated for 14 years before marrying in October 2019 at a British-owned fortress in Mallorca, where Gareth Bale married earlier in the year.

MailOnline has contacted a spokesperson for Rafael for more information.

They are currently relaxing in Mallorca with a group of friends aboard the ‘Great White’, the 78ft £4.2m Sunroof Power catamaran that Rafael had custom built two years ago.

Rafael’s uncle and former coach, Toni Nadal, said last week that he was confident the 36-year-old would play at Wimbledon later this month despite his injury problems.

The two-time Wimbledon winner has been undergoing treatment for Muller-Weiss syndrome, the chronic injury he was diagnosed with in 2005 in his left foot.

His foot went numb to capture his 14th French Open and 22nd Grand Slam title earlier this month and he has not ruled out retiring if he cannot overcome his injury woes.

Mery quit a job in insurance to become project manager for the Rafael Nadal Foundation, the charity she founded more than ten years ago.

She is known as an incredibly private person. The estate the Spanish couple chose to marry, La Fortaleza overlooking Pollensa Bay in northeast Mallorca, was where Real Madrid star Gareth Bale married Emma Rhys-Jones in June 2019 as part of a celebration of three days.

It was also where the 2016 BBC spy thriller The Night Manager starring Hugh Laurie was filmed.

The property was purchased by Lord Lupton in 2011 for £30m, although the original sale price is believed to have been around £75m.
