The Country Club at Morristown
The Country Club’s private 18-hole course, located at 1635 Doyal Drive in Morristown, has hosted many tournaments, including the Tennessee State PGA Championship.
Opened in 1955, the members-owned course was designed by William Langford and has a slope of 147 and a course rating of 73.9.
If you’re not a member but want to hit the green, a round will cost you $80. With a par 72, the course has 56 bunkers and two water hazards.

Island Pointe Golf Club at Kodak
Island Pointe at 9610 Kodak Road in Kodak is home to a public field designed by Arthur Hills.
It opened in 1991 and the course has a slope of 146 and a rating of 74.3. Green fees start at $37, but change based on tee time and day. Owned by Dan Freehan, the par 72 course has 27 bunkers and 9 water hazards.

tennessee national club
Tennessee National Club is located at 700 Golf Club Road in Loudon. Owned by Tennessee National Golf Club LLC, the private course opened in 2006 and was designed by Greg Norman.
It has a vertical drop of 139 and a course rating of 75.2. The par 72 course has 78 bunkers and 11 water hazards. A round for non-members is $125.

The Sevierville Golf Club – The River
This public course, located at 1444 Old Knoxville Highway, plays along and across the Little Pigeon River in Sevierville.
The par 72 course opened in 2011 and features 35 bunkers and 24 water hazards, with a course rating of 74.3 and slope 137. A round costs Sevier County residents $42, including a cart, and Knox County residents $52.

Ruggles Ferry Golf Club
Located at 8530 North Ruggles Pike in Strawberry Plains, Ruggles Ferry offers four sets of tees so golfers of all skill levels can play an enjoyable round.
Designed by Randall Hodge, the par 72 public course is rated 74 with a slope of 137. It also features 27 bunkers and two water hazards. Guests pay $40 to $50 per day.

Oak Ridge Country Club
Opened in 1947, this private, member-owned course designed by Bob Cupp celebrates its 75th anniversary this year.
With a slope of 137 and a rating of 73.3, this par 72 course features 58 bunkers and four water hazards. A membership will cost you $250 a month with a down payment of $1,000.

Fairfield Glade Resort – Stonehenge
Designed by Joe Lee and opened in 1985, this semi-private course gets its name from a 15-foot stone wall that runs along the back left side of the 14th hole.
Located at 222 Fairfield Blvd., the Fairfield Glade Community Club owns the course, which has a rating of 71.8, a slope of 137, 65 bunkers and 7 water hazards. Members can expect to pay $56 and guests pay $80.

Willow Creek Golf Club
Located at 12003 Kingston Pike, the club’s website says that this semi-private course is “dedicated to providing excellent, world-class playing conditions for the public golfer.”
Inaugurated in 1988 and designed by Bill Oliphant, with a slope of 135 and a rating of 74.5, the par 72 course has 35 bunkers and seven water hazards. If you want to play a round, Monday-Friday rates start at $55. After 3 pm, those rates drop to $48.

Fox Den Country Club
Located at 12284 North Fox Den Drive and opened in 1969, the signature 18th hole of this private members-owned course is a par 5 protected by a pond to the right and a bunker to the left.
Designed by William Byrd and redesigned by Bill Bergin in 2004, this par 72 course is rated 74.3 with a slope of 135, 52 bunkers and eight water hazards. Membership costs $605.37 for those over 40 and $425.49 for those under 40. There is an initiation fee of $2500.

The Club at Gettysvue
Designed by Bland Pittman and located at 9317 Linksvue Drive, this private par 72 course features a variety of elevation changes, rock formations, lakes and streams.
Opened in 1995 and owned by Synergy Golf Group, this course has a rating of 71.7, 134 slopes, 47 bunkers and eight water hazards. To become a member, there is an initiation fee of $5,000 and monthly fees range from $385 to $695. If you want to play as a guest, a round will cost $75.

cherokee country club
Built in 1907, this private, member-owned course is the oldest on this list.
Located at 5205 Lyons View Drive, this course was designed by Donald Ross and is rated 71.6. The course has a slope of 133, 55 bunkers and six water hazards.

Wind River Golf Club
Located at 1800 Oakum Court in Lenoir City, this Bob Cupp-designed semi-private course overlooks Lake Tellico.
The par 72 course with a rating of 76.2 and a slope of 132 opened in 2012 and is owned by WindRiver Management and Joseph Ayres. Monday through Friday rates are $59, while weekends are $69.

Tanasi Golf Club
Designed by Ault, Clark and Associates, and located at 450 Clubhouse Point in Loudon, this par-72 private course features some challenging holes, including a double dogleg 13th hole.
The course, opened in 1995 and owned by the Tellico Village Property Owners Association, has a grade of 70.8, a grade of 132 and seven water hazards.
Public guests can expect to pay $60 for a round and members pay $40. Both rates include the use of a cart.

Sevierville Golf Club – The Highlands
This 69.6 rated par 70 public course is located at 1444 Old Knoxville Highway in Sevierville.
Owned by the City of Sevierville, the course meanders through hills and freshwater ponds with a gradient of 132, 22 bunkers and 24 water hazards. Sevier County residents can expect to pay $42, which includes a cart. Knox County residents pay $52.

Links in Kahite
Designed by Ault, Clark and Associates and opened in 2002, this par-72 private course is rated 74.4 and provides players with a panoramic view of the Great Smoky Mountains.
Located at 400 Kahite Trail in Vonore and owned by the Tellico Village Property Owners Association, the course has a slope of 131 and 61 bunkers. A round is $60 for public guests and $40 for members, both with cart included.

Graysburg Hills Golf Course – Knobs/Forage Shack
Located at 910 Graysburg Hills Road in Chuckey, this par 72 public course opened in 1978 is owned and operated by the Stewart family.
Designed by Reese Jones, the course has a rating of 72.7, 100 bunkers, six water hazards and a slope of 131. Weekday rates are $37 and weekends are $42. Both rates include carts. .

According to the course’s website, this Knox County-owned public course was named one of Golf Digest’s “Best Places to Play.”
Located at 6101 Wise Springs Road in Knoxville and designed by Ault, Clark and Associates, the course opened in 1991 and is rated 74. At par 72, the course has a slope of 130, 63 bunkers and seven water hazards. Weekday and weekend rates start at $25.

Holston Hills Country Club
Located at 5200 Holston Hills Road in Knoxville, this private Donald Ross-designed course has hosted multiple regional tournaments, including a PGA Tour event.
The par 72 course opened in 1927 and is owned by McConnell Golf. It has a rating of 73.6, a slope of 130, 100 bunkers and two water hazards.

Located at 1700 Louisville Road in Alcoa, this club opened in 1925 after Alcoa Inc. purchased the land, according to the club’s website.

Whittle Springs
Opened in 1932 and located at 3113 Valley View Drive in Knoxville, this course is the oldest public course in Scruffy City, according to its website.
This par 70 course has a rating of 67.4, a slope of 113 and a pond.
