Cristiano Ronaldo’s car has been involved in an accident in Mallorca.

The police traffic service is investigating the accident, but it involved Ronaldo’s $2 million Bugatti Veyron.

The driver, who is reportedly not Ronaldo but one of his bodyguards, lost control and skidded into a wall in the Sa Coma urbanization, Bunyola, Palma de Mallorca, where the Manchester United star is currently on holiday with his family.

The front of the Bugatti is believed to have been smashed and investigators revealed no other vehicles were involved.

The place was attended, in addition to local police officers from the Bunyola City Council, Civil Guard agents.

At 11 in the morning the car crashed into the door of a farmhouse and into a butane cylinder booth, which has been completely destroyed, near the Joan March Hospital.

The driver of the car was not injured and is believed to have signed an accident report.

A well-placed source said: “The car crashed into a wall but there was only property damage, no one was injured and the driver accepted full responsibility for what happened.

“Information about who was behind the wheel and what happened is recorded in a police database and is there for the court or officers to access if further investigation is needed.

“But it is more a case of the information that needs to be recorded so that the owner of the damaged property can make a claim for compensation and use the police report as a backup in case there is any dispute in the future about how the damage was already done. .”

Another informant added: “The accident occurred on a secondary road near the Joan March Hospital.

“The car seems to have gone off the road and hit a wall that is part of the protection of a house with a gas cylinder depot behind it.

“Apparently, at that time an employee of Cristiano and not Cristiano was driving. He was definitely not at the scene when officers arrived.”

The respected island newspaper Crónica Balear said the unidentified bodyguard got out of the car to continue his journey, leaving other star employees at the scene to meet police.

The identity of the person behind the wheel has yet to be revealed, but it is well known that Iano Ronaldo and his family are sheltered in Cheshire by Portuguese twins who served as soldiers in an elite special forces unit in Afghanistan.

The strongmen have been named as Sergio and Jorge Ramalheiro, who became part of a Portuguese close protection unit tasked with keeping tabs on politicians and judges after they serve.

Portuguese celebrity magazine Flash said the twins, part of a set of triplets, had been hired by Cristiano after they took unpaid leave from the PSP police to pursue other interests.

The third brother, named Alexandre, is believed to still be working as a police officer.

Spanish police confirmed on Monday afternoon that they had no information to suggest Cristiano had been in the car at the time.

Ronaldo had the beloved Bugatti Veyron, which has a top speed of 253mph, and a Mercedes-Benz G-Class, a gift from his wife, shipped from Manchester for the holidays.

The Bugatti is part of CR7’s $20.8 million car collection that also includes an Aston Martin, a Bentley and a Ferrari Monza.

Ronaldo also added a $10.4M limited edition Bugatti Centodieci, of which only ten have been made, to his collection last year.

The United striker is enjoying a luxury vacation in Mallorca with his partner Georgina Rodríguez and their children.

They stay in a luxury villa, away from prying eyes, located at the foot of the Tramuntana mountains.

The family of seven, including children Cristiano Jr, 11, Eva, 5, Matteo, 5, Alana Martina, 4 and two-month-old Bella, flew in a private plane last week.

They have been soaking up the sun and celebrating the 12th birthday of Ronaldo’s eldest son, Cristiano Jr.

Ronnie Jr also joined his father aboard a superyacht on Sunday to celebrate Father’s Day.
